About
Vortex Pocket started as a group chat between three friends who kept sending each other screenshots of games they found on long commutes. At some point the chat got so long that building a proper site felt easier than scrolling back through it. Now it's a small editorial project run by people who actually finish the games they cover.,Our focus is narrow on purpose: titles that run fully offline. That means RPGs you can grind on a flight, puzzles for a waiting room, and management sims for a lazy Sunday. If a game needs a constant connection to function, it doesn't belong here.,We pick what to review by playing widely and cutting hard. A game earns a page only after at least a few hours in someone's hands, notes in a shared doc, and a second opinion from another editor. We'd rather post two reviews a week we stand behind than ten we skimmed.,Nobody here gets paid by developers to be nice. When something is dull or clunky, we say so. When a small game surprises us, we make noise about it.
